BTW RoberWeathers....In a previous post when I said "What game were they watching?" was not a reference to you...it was to the sportswriters who have been writing that "Mark Sanchez won the game for the Jets".

I was just saying that the game I was watching...Sanchez was playing so badly that the Jets HAD to go to a run game because Sanchez was about to throw the game away.

All is good

So why should this game have a significantly different outcome than the last one?
Brad Smith was injured in the Colts game. That will hurt the kick return game unless Rex risks using Cromartie as his primary kick returner. As we all know, there is always risk of having your primary kick returner jacked up on national television and carted off.

Good point....Wouldn't mind seeing McCourty put that hit on him too

NP.

I'm of the mindset that if a QB has a bad game, but pulls out a win via a 4th quarter drive, he is exonerated. Brady did it vs SD in 2006. Elway made a living at it. You can't say the Qb didn't do his job or say that it was easy because he got the ball at the 50 or so, he did the job. Sanchez gets some credit- but not much. Every dog has it's day.

The main difference is that those are QBs who carried their teams. Sometimes their teams were great. Sometimes they wern't.

The bigger picture is that Sanchez simply can't carry a team. Sanchez can barely do it in spurts. He needs his running game, solid O-line and talented WRs to make up for his lack of skill at this point in his career. For about 75% of the game, he was about as worthless as lint.

"So with the Pats having everything to lose and the Jets having everything to gain"????

Call me crazy, but I thought both teams have the same trip to AFC Championship game to gain and a trip to the AFC Championship game to lose. Why is that this is a Jet's gain and a Pats lose???

Seriously, some do some of these writers even bother reading their own garbage!!!

Just more hype to create clicks. I don't buy it. The Pats wanted this rematch against the Jets. They know the most about this opponent and can really exploit the weaknesses that they have found.

Florio is a Jets fan, and he has been for years. Not really reporting on this one here.
Are you sure about that? I met him before and from what I recall he said he was a Vikings fan. He does have relatives who root for the Patriots though. Which I find hilarious. ^_^

Couldn't agree more.

I really don't have a problem with Sanchez. I just can't understand why there are so many sportswriters out there who are trying to build him up to be something he is not.

I can easily picture Bill Belichick watching game film of Sanchez and asking himself "This kid is making my job too easy"

Man, seeing how uneasy Sanchez was with the ball, do you guys have a feeling that McCourty's gonna pull off what Ty Law did in the 03 AFC Championship?

In his last 400 pass attempts, Sanchez has thrown a pick once every 27.2 times

In their last 400 pass attempts against, the Patriots have averaged an interception once every 23.5 throws.

Don't know if McCourty will pick off 3 passes, but I have no doubt that Sanchez will be picked off at least once.
