Moss from longtime fan - New England Patriots Forums

The saddest day in my life was when Moss left the vikings while I was the biggest vikings fan. Now I find myself cheering for the pats and hoping Moss will get his long deserved ring. The man can adjust to a ball like no one out there. He has always been a touchdown machine and now that he has a qb that can get him the ball he has finally been able to reach his true potential. With MN he never had an elite qb like Brady and look what he was capable of doing. He was able to make Todd Bowman and Randall Cunningham look like Montana. The man is the greatest reciever who could finally prove his greatness through an equally great qb. Rice had Montana and Harrison had Manning, now that Moss has Brady look what he has been able to accomplish. Thank you for finally giving the man his due with a qb like Brady...... If he spent his entire career in NE, we would be having the conservation of Moss being the greatest reciever of all time. All he wants to do is win, and everything else is just taken out of context. It isn't a fluke that Moss has been on the first and second teams that were able to break the scoring record.
PS I have never seen teams use coverages that Moss has recieved in all the years that i have watched football, I will be cheering for the Pats throughout the playoffs because Moss deserves his ring....

I think when you are so gifted athletically, practically unstoppable, it's demoralising when the rest of your team struggles to keep the standard up.

I think that moss has found a team in NE that has the same high standard that he has and it's holding his attention.

If Brady and Moss had been here since day 1 the records would be mind blowing, but perhaps Brady may not have developed so well.

Moss could have quite a few good years left in him. But it's may come down to a salary cap crunch, but I'm sure we will maneuver to resign him.

I noticed that, and there is something to it. Moss is special and probably the most gifted WR ever, taking passes from arguable the GOAT QB. Moss ain't going anywhere. He'll retire A PATRIOT, and hopefully in time, choose to enter the HOF in in a Patriot uniform (no offense to the Vikes

Nice post! I am glad that he shut up many of the experts and fans who doubted him. And some of them chose to do it even before he stepped on the field. Shows how much people can get influenced by the media which can easily create a negative persona of any individual based on a few unfortunate and sometimes immature statements/actions. Reality is quite different from what the general public has been coached to expect. So glad that Moss is here with us!

Don't want to derail the thread, but players don't choose a "team" to enter the HOF as a player of. The Hall list all of the players teams.

Thanks, did not know that.... Must be thinking of baseball. Depends on what happens in the future, but as of now I guess he'd go in as a Viking. I guess that one thing that I can't imagine isn't the case after this season, HE WILL GET IN. That record seals it I'd think.
