Default Sam Madison injury was unfortunate but timely for the Patriots

The 4 announcers were talking about the long TD pass from Brady to Moss and said that Madison had blanketed Moss most of the game and was doing a great job when he got injured in the play that Brady threw to Moss that fell short - Then on the next play the Giants had a replacement corner for Madision off the bench (name?) and thats when the play which was actually designed for Brady to Welker was changed immediately to exploit the mismatch with the bench corner trying to cover Moss to which Moss killed the guys coverage.

Timely injury eh? - Although I hope Madison is O.K. when the G-Men go to Tampa next week.

Madison blanketed Moss? He had double all the time or tried to zone on him

that and the safety decided to cover welker instead of Moss leaving single coverage on the outside

the last time Madison was left alone was on TO..and Owens had that 170+ yard game with 3-4 TDs.

it is unfortunate..Madison was a very good player..him and Surtain always gave us trouble

i think moss analyzed the play right after the game. welker drew the safety. but, it's noteworthy that both of the eminent NFL network announcers missed the replacement and that Collinsworth missed the decoy (wouldn't expect Gumbell to catch something like that, all he could say all night was how important every drive was to either team)
