Default Patriot Question of the Day. What if...?

Tom Brady needs two TD passes to break Peyton Manning's single season record of 49 passes for touchdowns, and Randy Moss needs two TD receptions to break Jerry Rice's single season record of 22 receptions for touchdowns. There is a pretty good possibility both records will fall. If that happens, here is the dilemma.

If Tom Brady makes a second TD pass to break the record, and the receiver is Randy Moss who is catching his second TD pass of the night to break the record...which player gets to keep the record setting football?

Not worrying, but it is a reasonable question.

That would probably be the best place for the ball.

They'll build a little stand for the ball and each player will have it for 6 months of every year . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Just so you can get back to more pressing issues, let's just say it will be on display in the NFL HOF, Canton, OH.

Pretty sure the game ball will go to Canton.

It would go to Moss. He would be the last person to have it and possession is 9/10s of the law. IMO he offers it to Brady. Brady turns it down, Moss insists and Brady accepts. Moss' reputation as a good guy/team player in NE starts to become legendary and he later inks a friendly 5 year contract. The rest of the NFL's fandom hates us even more.
