Default The Final Game

So assuming the giants play all their players what is the biggest challenge for the pats.
I think stopping the giants running game is the key on offense.they seem to run the ball quite well.
On offense, that pass rush could really challenge our o line depending on who plays next week. maybe we will see a short passing game .
Of course weather could change all that. Should be a good test IMO

I'm not sure about what I'm writing but I'm going to anyways. The Giants RB's are big straight ahead runners, in the past the Pats haven't had much trouble with this typ of RB. Bettis for ex. I think that Were going to have to stop this Moss is the only target out ther mentality and throw short three step drop passes to negate the Giants rush. OH and how about throwing in some running, what a novel idea.

Coughlin is a world-class idiot if he puts the oft-injured Brandon Jacobs on the field Sunday. He should also give Strahan a rest. I do wonder if the rumors about the NFL pressuring the Giants to play their starters are true because the Patriots going up against 2nd and 3rd stringers to set the record would be a little anticlimatic and the NFL Network wants big ratings.

I think Reflex nailed it squarely on the head in regard to Randy Moss.

Look, the guy makes spectacular plays, there's no doubt about it. He's capable of all kinds of freakishly talented, out of this world type catches. But don't become too reliant on him, heck I'm not saying NEVER throw it to him in double coverage, but spread the field methodically. Don't ignore guys that are open because you want to go for the jugular.

I'm not complaining about our margin of victory at all, because I'm just glad to have won, but we easily could have added a few more points on the board by playing a little shorter with the big throws sprinkled in when it's warranted.

As for the Giants, I don't think Brandon Jackson is the type of back we're going to contain easily, but I also don't know that he's getting a majority of carries, he's been nicked up here and there and I honestly don't see him being instrumental in the game plan for more than a couple of quarters.

We need to devote some guys to help in pass protection, ignore the deep threats unless somethings really there or we've established the run and can make guys bite on something, QUICK RELEASES. Six yards here, four there, that's the answer here, if you get a few deep ones fine, but don't force them and we should be fine.

Anybody who turns that historic game off is no football fan anyway. Besides, it takes a true football fan to sit through any Bryant Gumbel game no matter if it's a close game or not.

There’s absolutely no question the Colts won’t be playing their main starters more then a half Sunday night.

For me, there's absolutely no question that the Giants, without the bye week and locked in @ the 5th seed, will also take the same approach.

Well, it's common knowledge that Coughlin is a world-class idiot. And it's no secret that he's coaching for his job right now, which means getting as deep into the playoffs as possible, not beating the Patriots in the regular season.

So for his own good, I hope he has the good sense to step aside, let the Patriots wipe the floor with his second string and not risk further injury to his already badly beaten up squad.

I think it's pretty obvious that between these two teams, the Patriots are going to want it much, much more.
