Umm... the Jets are allowed to lose again too, right? Makes things simpler...

It's too bad, I really wanted us to celebrate an AFC East title on prime time. Oh well.

Pats win guarantees them the #5 seed (woohoo ).

A Pats win tonight and next week guarantees them the #1 seed.

With a win tonight we will clinch the #5 seed!

Right now it is theortically possible for us to be the #6 seed.

That is a neat little app. Tonight's game all of a sudden became irrelevant. But 14-2 has a nice ring to it.

I was pulling for the Jets with the hope that KC wins out and the Jets get the WC over San Diego. I like the Pats chances against anybody, but I think the Chargers are much more dangerous than the lowly, impolding Jets.

How so? A win tonight means any Jets loss gets #1 as well (unless I missed something ), though I don't want to count on that after today...

I believe we need to win 2 out of the next 3 to get the # 1 seed if the Jets and Steelers win out, correct?

How? They lost to MIA and NE, we lost to NYJ? We have 1 loss they have 2, we should clinch everything with a win because we have played more convincing football against better teams, more points everything.

If we win tonight and lose the next two, and the Jets win out the Pats and Jets would both be 12-4. The Jets would win the tiebreaker because we would have 3 division losses (Bills, Fins, Jets) and the Jets would have 2 division losses (Pats, Fins).

However, if we lose tonight than win 1 of the next 2 we would both be 14-2 again, except we would both have an equal division record (Jets loosing to Pats + Fins, Pats loosing to Jets + Fins/Bills). The next tiebreaker goes to strength of victory which the Patriots would win.
