Default Brady as a running QB

I was at the game Sunday, and if I'm not mistaken, our first play from scrimmage was "a fake handoff to Maroney, QB bootleg" by Tommy. Clearly a busted play, but it really looked planned!

I think we had another blown run the next series.
Then a couple scrambles.

By the end of the first Q, TB had 4-5 runs. We started laughing about how BB's take-that-rat strategy was for Brady to run for 100 yds against that buttwipes....

Seriously, did anyone else get a bit alarmed and confused with all those Brady runs? Whats up w Boney Maroney -- did he blow a few running plays?

D&C asked Brady about it on 'EEI.

On one play, they audibled to a different play, and there was "miscommunication" (i.e. Maroney went the wrong way).

On another play, Brady correctly identified a blitzing safety who was at the line of scrimmage. Brady on 'EEI said soemthing like "rather than let Laurence get blown up the second he got the ball, I let myself get blown up". The idiots at 'EEI were telling him to let Maroney take the hit, which sounds logical on its face.

Belichick, however, in one of his pressers pointed out that Brady did a very smart thing because if the safety comes free, he might interfere with the QB-RB handoff resulting in a fumble. So instead of handing the ball off to the freaking safety, Tom just ate it. Belichick was very complimentary about this to TB.

D&C should never, ever question anything about Tom Brady. He is better than them at everthing.

Update: Well that didn't work out as I had planned. Next year baby, next year 19-0 we go. Next year.

What about his wardrobe choices in his magazine pics?

As a poster said earlier, one was a miscommunication. On the other, Brady identified the blitz late and made a good decision on keeping the ball.

I think you might be wrong on this. Dennis is one hell of a dart thrower and Cal is an awesome ballroom dancer.

I didn't know Dennis came out of the closet about his dart abilities...
