Default we have an asterisk next to our season
Go to http://www.nfl.com/standings and you will see that the NFL has finally done what the New York Daily News has been doing all season long, and what Schula wanted.

They have put an asterisk next to the Patriots.

I don't mind that kind of asterisk, but couldn't they have gone with an "x" to go along with the "y" and "z".

Yes, but you have to love the irony that it is the New Jersey Jets that caused that asterisk.

That's what they've always done. For some reason they decided to use an asterisk instead of another letter. To top it off there will be an asterisk there the entire offseason.
