1. Patriots win (vs Packers)
2. Jets lose (@ Steelers)
= AFC East Championship

Patriots would be 12-2 and the Jets would be 9-5, meaning the best they could finish is at 11-5.

Bye Week
Patriots would also clinch a bye week with 12 wins (+ Jets loss) due to the AFC South & West leaders both already having 5+ losses.

#1 Seed
Patriots would not yet clinch the #1 seed as the Steelers could still finish 13-3 and the Patriots could still finish 12-4.

The Jets have to beat the Steelers? Oh well, we will have to wait another week because that ain't happening.

Okay, that makes more sense. The Jets could still technically clinch the division and the #1 seed. Highly unlikely but still not impossible.

Perhaps you could fully and accurately analyze this rather than rush to post?
The previous thread you deleted was clearly wrong. And I am not so sure aout this... is it really needed for the Pats to win AND the Jets lose? I don't know, will have to check.
