Default Now who do we think should be Pro Bowlers?

Which Pats do you think deserve votes for the Pro Bowl:

1. Legitimately?
2. As homer votes?

My current list is:

Legitimate Patriot Pro Bowlers

Brady
Moss
Mankins
Vrabel
Samuel
Wilfork (there are two spots at tackle, not one, so it's OK to think Hampton is better and still vote for Wilfork)
Light -- yeah, he's not pancaking anybody on running plays, and the fact that there aren't many running plays may be a mild indictment of the run-blocking -- but he's been very, very good at pass blocking. Yeah, I'm surprised too.

Defensible Homer Patriot Pro Bowl votes

Welker -- WR, KR, or both -- not because he's the best returner, but because he'd add more to the team overall than a superior returner would . He'd also add more in the slot than yet another stud #1 outside type would.
Warren -- he deserved it last year, and hasn't stunk this year
Gostowksi -- good results
Hanson -- ditto
Izzo -- tradition
Colvin -- he was playing very well until hurt

A lack of running plays is an indictment on the run-blocking? No. It's an indictment on the crappy RB we have. Matt Light's run-blocking was perfectly fine when Corey Dillon was running the ball in 2004.

Brady
Moss
Mankins
Samuel
Wilfork
Welker
Izzo
Light

All legit candids for the pro bowl. With Moss, Mankins, Brady and Izzo being the locks.

I like your legit list, I'd take Light off it though. He's had a few weak weeks. I'd say Welker is also boardering on legit, but he won't get it, cuz Randy is a lock.

As for the homer list............ Yup it surely is one Since we're dreaming, I'd add Washington (ST)

What's so Pro Bowl great about Izzo?

Honest question.

I dont know. I would elect Kelley Washington over Izzo.

My Votes

Brady
Moss
Vrabel
Samuel
Mankins
Welker (too many receptions and good overall play to not get in)

Koppen
Welker

Defense:

Wilfork
Vrabel
Samuel

Special Teams:

Washington

If Mankins doesn't make it this year it will be a travesty...

Brady
Moss
Mankins

Wilfork
Vrabel
Samuel

i thought Koppen deserved it earlier..but it sort of dropped
i thought Warren deserved it but hes not getting the pressure he got last year. him and Seymour are basically being single blocked..held at times but hes not as impressive as last year. Wilfork is dominating. 2 years ago..it was Seymour..last year..Warren..now its Wilfork. Vince is a beast in middle.

other considerations would be Welker as a returnman but hes not our KR guy..does PR but i think Washington/Cribbs/Parrish are all doing better

Harrison i would consider but hes not allowed am i right because the suspension? hes played great imo but guys like Rhodes/Reed/Polamalu/Sanders are all playing well when on the field
