Default The Anthony Smith "I was misquoted" business begins

He must have gotten his ass kicked in the locker room afterwards

Smith said they weren’t reported accurately.

“If I had been quoted right, it wouldn’t have come out the way it did,” he said.

What a douchebag...this misquote business is fine in a print interview but he was on camera...Now that you've joined the ranks of Freddie Mitchell, here's what's in store for you Anthony Smith as the newest member of the Fred Ex Club...

Football career after Philadelphia
After being released from the Eagles on May 5, 2005, Mitchell then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, who subsequently released him September 3, 2005[citation needed]. On August 6, 2006 Mitchell worked out for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas did not make a contract offer[citation needed]. Mitchell tried out for the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday, October 11, 2006[citation needed]. Most recently, Mitchell worked out for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL on February 11, 2007[4]. According to sports blog Deadspin on November 27, 2006, Mitchell recently served as a substitute teacher at Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, Indiana[5]. (Wikipedia)

I actually found what he said to be pretty harmless, I'm glad he said it though because I think it definitely fired up the pats tonight.

Hehe. . . .that's fabulous! He really said that?!

This is the same sort of funny I had when T.O. said that he was misquoted in his autobiography.

I agree with you, I don't know how you can be misquoted on camera when they interview you and let you have your say, and if it was true he could have said something before the game...he is a liar.

How can you be misquoted when they SHOWED what you said in your interview? It wasn't taken out of context or anything, you actually said those exact words. "I guarentee we win. Yeah, if we go out there and play our game, I guarentee we win." There ain't no miscommunication there. You said exactly what you meant.

Update: Well that didn't work out as I had planned. Next year baby, next year 19-0 we go. Next year.

Yeah, couldn't see this coming....

Hey Anthony Smith? Do you know what a "Code Red" is from the movie "A Few Good Men?"

If not I have a feeling you're about to find out tonight at the team hotel.
