Watching him, its like hes fast, but not quick. It seems to take him a ton of time to get the ball out to the 20.
That return to the 35, he had a big crease, and it looked like he was gonna chew up a ton of field, and then at the end of the play he was only at the 35.
Are you taking into consideration that it takes a second longer to get to the 20 because he has has to wait for blocks to form and for a hole to open up? He is extremely fast and quick, that's why he has returned 3 kicks for TDs this season (including preseason). I am clueless as to why you guys are unhappy/unsure with his performance on KR. He made a nice move yesterday and nearly ripped that one for major yardage yesterday but just got tripped up.

Yeah, Tate is for sure one of the reasons we lost yesterday. A disgusting, gutless performance by him. By the whole offense, really. Incomplete passes, RB's only getting 5 yards a carry. It's ineptitude at it's finest.
Seems that Tate made some big plays against Pittsburgh and Minnesota.
Or now that Moss is gone, are we back to moaning about needing a "#1" receiver because we spent the past few years moaning about finding the open guy because we had a "#1" receiver in Moss?
Our #3, #4 and #5 and #6 wider receivers are Tate, Edelman, Price and Slater. What is their TOTAL number catches, yards and TD's? Please list ALL their signifcant plays on offense. It won't take long.
It is OK, but let's be real. We are getting little production on offense from any of these folks. I am fine with the production coming from Grankowski and Hernadez instead (and from a healthy Welker and Branch).

I didn't really expect to see that much of Tate yesterday based on the matchups. Similarly I didn't really expect to see that much of Hernandez against Pittsburgh. The Colts corners cover mid to deep routes a lot better than the Steelers do. I would expect more throws Tate's way Thursday in Detroit.
Why can't Tate put up 23 TDs like Moss? I mean, he has Brady throwing to him

The only concern I have is Suh vs. our O-Line. Not sure how much time Brady will have back there, so I am not sure if we will see too many slow-developing deep pass plays. Maybe use Tate for a reverse like in the Ravens game?

...wait, we WON yesterday?
Do you think after a game like yesterday BB just ignores everything that went wrong, or every player who isn't progressing like they want them too?
So if he can objectively be critical of the team they why can't fans?
It's so annoying that after every win everyone is supposed to ignore the weaknesses of this team, or a player who isn't delivering.

They are not really being targeted that much. Tate has 33 targets, with 18 receptions and then Edelman has 8 targets for 4 catches. This is out of 331 passes. This is a pretty low percentage, only 12%.
I dont think they are playing that bad. When you really look at it Tate is probably the #6 target for Brady. Welker, Branch, Gronk, Hernandez and Woodhead are all ahead of him. 18 receptions is not bad at all for your #6 pass catcher.
