If the AFC seeds hold for the playoffs, we're looking at matchups with one sun-baby and one dome-baby this January. San Diego/Jacksonville? Right. Indy in Foxboro in January? Seen it before.

Unfortunately Indy is playing in a relatively warm Baltimore Sunday night (low 50s) so we won't be able to see if they are cold-ready.

That is a good thing. The longer indy plays in nice weather the better. Then if they have to come here, and it is 15 out, there will be more shock.

I think the Steelers are an cold climate team, I could be wrong.

SD and Jacksonville have styles that are well suited to bad weather, in the end I think the Pats play Indy in the AFCG, home field ends up being huge.

The Steelers are one of the few other cold weather teams, and they've got the rushing attack for that kind of weather. Parker does have some power, but he's more of a slasher/speed back though. Considering the Patriots could be playing on their fieldturf, I wouldn't expect the snow, or cold weather to be as big a factor either. I also believe the Patriots have a heating system under the turf? I'm just hoping the Patriots don't play anymore games in strong wind this season.

Also, Brady's proven he can throw the ball even in very bad conditions. I've noticed Big Ben can sometimes throw the ball well in bad weather, but I've also seen him have a hard time with it, and I remember a few games where he changed gloves, or went back and fourth between wearing gloves, and not wearing gloves because he couldn't get a good grip on the ball. What's funny is Ben didn't start wearing gloves until he noticed Brady doing it, and I believe he actually asked Tom about wearing them.

I disagree. I think the Pats are not as well suited for cold weather games with the current running backs. Without Dillon and Morris, we may have problems running the ball in bad weather games.

I think in the scenario it was assumed that the higher seeds would win all playoff games and Indy would beat the Steelers. So then we wouldn't have to worry about them playing in the cold.

I disagree with you.

I think the Pats will be fine in cold weather with their current running backs but not the ones you expect. I think Evans and Eckel will become more significant as the weather turns crappy and they need mudders instead of speedsters.

The real question mark will be wide recievers who aren't used to a frigid climate trying to catch and hold onto a ball in real crap weather. That scares me.

The only teams that have a bit of trouble in ***** weather, are teams that play in a dome. They not only have the weather adjustment, but also the turf to adjust to.

This is my concern in that the NE offense is very different this season from past seasons where the team could put their heads down and ram forward. Can Maroney, Evans, & Eckel do that? Can Moss, Welker, and Stallworth be effective in snow, wind, and cold? We don't have that answer yet. Knowing BB, he'll be introducing all the new comers to the beautiful New England weather at this time and getting them ready.
