I wonder if we have tried Mesko on kickoffs. I don't like the low short kicks we were seeing last night.

Welcome, Horse.

I don't take the stuff about injuries as whining -- it is what it is and this season the Colts have had a devastating dose. Just so long as you don't start complaining about the refs!

Two questions came to my mind as I digested last night's wonderful performance. One was why didn't the Steelers try to give the Pats more of a Peyton Hillis-ing. The other was that I noticed that the Pats' defense was constantly switching personnel. The front seven seemed to being switched out almost completely from one down to the next -- rotation, rotation, rotation!

Now I don't suppose that the Colts are going to morph into a power running team any time soon but I do wonder about the following. Surely the Colts will use the hurry-up offense to stop the Patriots substituting. How will the Patriots cope with that?

I know you usually only see a referreeing crew once a year. Does anyone know which crews have done Pats games this year an which haven't? I have to believe that it will be one of the top rated crews due to the potential significance of the game.

But drafting so low seems to insulate him from national media scrutiny. (You can't have high profile mega-busts drafting from #25 on.)

Anyway, given how Pats fans go ballistic over the Pats' rare 1st-round misfire like Maroney, I'd love to hear what the Colts' fan base thinks.

There have been a lot of people complaining lately about Polian. Mostly because our offensive line is a wreck. After the Super Bowl Polian complained about the o-line and then did nothing to really address it.

The high picks haven't been an issue until Gonzo. With him it's tough, because when he is on the field he is productive, but the guy can't stay on the field. Ugoh is the one the really started people. We agve up a first round pick to draft him. He played decently as a rookie left tackle and then just went in the crapper and eventually got cut. The next year we didn't have out number 1 because of the trade so our first pick was a 2nd with Mike Pollak, who is starting to be OK. Then there is Brown. Talk about high expectations. Leading the NCAA in rushing and coming into a high powered offense, he showed a flash or two and has been dinged and sputtering ever since.

I think Polian still does a really good job and his late round picks and UDFAs have a way of turning in to key players.

McAfee has been a stud for us. His kick offs have been a huge difference for us. It's been really nice to see team starting around the 20 instead of around the 35. And he has been doing a pretty god job punting as well.

As of today, I don't think things look real promising for the Colts. I'm not sure what the status of our injuries is right now, but if several of our guys don't suit up this week it looks like it will be a long game. The players we had on the field against the Bengals barely resembled our opening day roster. And after watching the way you guys beat the Steelers, I'm not going to be overly optimistic.

Anyway, here to a good game (especially for us) and an injury free game (especially for us). Long time no see.
Is this the same workhorse that posts on Colt Freaks?

Is this the same IU that's not really IU and is a Pats fan acting like him?
