Okay, I agree it wasn't the best game ever for Pats fans used to 50-10 wins, but we still won.
I think it is complete BS that the media thinks the team is not as good anymore. Every team has stinkers, which I wouldn't call this, but they prevailed and still won. That is what shows a great team.
Also, think about it this way, the Eagles played possibly the best realistic game they could've AND STILL LOST. Feeley played great, the Pats defense was sub-par, the Feeley fumble fell right to him, they recovered an onside kick.
I know it sucks that we didn't win 100-0, but welcome to real football I guess. Look, I am glad to see the Pats be able to win 2 close one's with 4th quarter comebacks and to blowout teams. This builds character and helps us build on our weakness's that Philly found. Better have a game like this now, than in the playoffs.

Re: If I didn't watch the game I wouldn't know we won
I think it sucks that everyone on this damn board cares so much about what everyone else thinks (media, other fans, etc). People should just enjoy what's happening and not get all bent out of shape over everything. The worse is whenever anything negative is said about the pats, it's blown up over here. These writers say controversial things to get responses and everyone just feeds right into it, and this can be said for opposing fans who come here and "troll." Easterbrook and other garbage writers get more hits on their pages the more they rile people up. If some people understood this, maybe this board would be a happier place. We should be enjoying these wins, b/c let's face it, Brady and BB are only going to be around for so many years. Sorry for the rant, but you would think we were 2-9 or something by just reading some of the posts on this board.

I totally agree, we won for crying out loud. You would think people would learn from the way the media lies, stretches points to make them seem worse than they actually are. The media hating or liking the Pats has no bearing on wether or not this team succeeds or doesn't. Get a life people make up your own mind don't have it made up for you, but base it on fact.
Re: If I didn't watch the game I wouldn't know we won
Flash back one year ago today, we pulled out a tough win against an NFC foe (Chicago) at home largely because of Asante Samuel and we were on top of the world....despite FIVE freakin' turnovers!!!! Last night we moved the ball, didn't turn it over, made some clutch plays and won a tight game...and most people complain. Really, the only reason people are fussing is because Feely was moving the chains and it made for a tight game.
Last year we would have used this sort of victory to validate our SB contender status and this year we're using it to invalidate our greatest team of all time status. Good grief.
Re: If I didn't watch the game I wouldn't know we won
i think the game reminded people that the nfl is a tough place to make a living and winning by 30 points is the exception, not the norm. i don't think the players or coaches ever forgot this, but i think a lot of us did.
the way i see it, the only things that are important now are securing Home Field Advantage and winning the SB. going 16--0 and winning a few more games by silly margins would be nice, but irrelevant if we're not holding the lombardi in Phoenix.
