A "Wake up Call" Game in Week 12 that still ended with a W in the column can be a VERY good thing for us.

While injuries have uncovered some flaws on this team I can't help but think the Defense and Offense will both be especially primed to return to dominance

Did we have any pass rushers last night? I didn't see any.

This is another case where I feel like the situation looked worse than it actually was. Just like the DBs, the rush was just a step slow/late. Asante's first pick happened after pressure up the middle from Adalius. Looked like the Pats needed to get some more inside pressure since the outside guys were blocked effectively. Feeley was getting the ball out quickly which also helped.

They tried. Philly picked it up.

I actually am not too disappointed with the game. Yeah, we didn't play well and Philly played very well. We came out with the win, and there is a lot for us to work on. I like that we can blow them out and we can grind out the tough win too. It actually was a 10 point game cuz Randy was totally robbed on the phantom OPI call. So it was difficult to watch at times, I like that we were able to win when we're playing off. Years past, we would have lost that game by 10.

My only concern is for the secondary, both Hobbs and Gay went down. Any word on if it at all serious?

I watched Richard Seymour on a lot of our defensive plays last night. He said last week that he is not all the way back yet - and from what I saw last night he is right. He is far from the defensive force he has been in the past - but he still has a few weeks to get it together before the playoffs begin. We're going to need him.

Without reading it, he is right. The playoff teams look like:
Patriots
Colts
Steelers
Jaguars
Chargers
and someone, likely Titans

These are all good teams with good defenses, there won't be any 46 point victories. The games will be hard fought and come down to the final possessions, better to find out the teams character (and then strength of their bench) now than wait until the end of January.
