That is a direct quote from BB from last nights Real Post game show. Pete Shepard asked BB about the absence of Maroney in the 1st half. BB said it was strictly based on the game plan, he loves Maroney, has no problem with him, calls him a tough kid and would like to have a lot more LM's on the team.
Never heard BB outwardly praise a player in such a strong manner.

Heard that too, it certainly was unqualified affirmation of LM. Went over it in my own mind, searching for sarcasm, but found nothing. Can't help but think there was something going on there, but it may have been just a case sticking with that Vikings game plan.

Using Maroney a little more in the 1st half may have helped our passing game

There is nothing wrong with Lawrence. The only question is how to incorporate a RB when your QB is doing so well; every run takes the ball out of Tom's hands. Which we need to do at times but it's got to be difficult to run 22 times right now.

we have a great passing game which works, so why go away from it ? run if the coverage dictates it. i see a similar plan against the ravens which are tough on the run.

A lot of Welker's yards are like screens, which means in some ways he is functioning as a RB split out.

knowing BB and the head games, probably means he's given up on the guy! doesn't want other teams to realize our weakness running the ball.

I hate to bring it so football obvious but does anyone think the problem might be in our OL run blocking? The Patriots have become a passing team and most of the reps in practice are probably pass blocking reps.

If the OL is not getting the proper reps in practice run blocking, then they will look like they are right now. I do expect that they will start getting more reps run blocking as we enter the cold weather part of the schedule.

Yeah, darn that "scoring every offensive possession" in the first half thing. And the 31 offensive points we scored (I'm counting the 7 the refs took away) - that sucked too. Can't win with 31.
