Default Why the hell didn't we run the ball the 1st half?

This made absolutely no sense to me, the had 3 down linemen and the LBers were playing far off the line a lot... we could've run all over the eagles :|

I agree.... Telling them we are going to pass every time just allows them to tee off on Brady and play coverage.

yeah...no running means no Brady play action....his forte...looks like BB was using this game as a lesson for these guys and also as a shot of confidence for the embattled Reid...both schemes seemed to fit the Philly O and D to a tee

I think Maroney must be nursing an injury. That seems to be the only reasonable interpretation. Otherwise have they lost total confidence in him?

confidence?...they ran him for the winning score....this whole game plan was all around fishy...I seriously doubt the Pats play this way against Pitt or the Ravens

It didn't make any sense. You don't need to completely abandon the run to be in your spread offense. Looks like BB isn't going to explain that at all...

Even if Maroney is hurt... who cares? Run a few draws, run with Evans or Eckel. Letting the Eagles eliminate any run defense before the snap is dumb.

3 possessions, 17 pts. What the hell is so hard to understand about that?

I'll answer this one for BB.

"We did what we thought gave us the best chance to win."

Maybe there is some truth to the rumor (reported by Pasquarelli) that the coaching staff does not prepare in the same manner for NFC teams.

only reason for running the ball in the 1st half wouldve been to protect the D and BB doesnt play that way. We had the ball 3 times and score 17 pts what is missing here ?
Blame on the onside kick coverage and the defense. i like what the pats do, they dont go by the notion that we need to run more to maintain balance.
