Default Coach Cowher shinnies out on the limb

Cowher used about 1000 words to make his case. Then Boomer and Dan used about 10 words between them to make their case.

Cowher: JD, I think the Eagles have some of what it takes to beat New England, blah blah blah. Blah blah it's going to be a tough job but they can do it. Blah blah blah. They need to run the ball with Bukcholder (sic) and Westbrook, and keep the Patriots' offense off the field. They can do different things on defense too like ..... blah blah ......... blah ....... blah blah blah .........

Esiason: Not a chance.

Marino: That game will be over by the half.

Hey Cowa,

Two letters and a last name that make this game a lock:

A J Feeley

AJ Feeley beat the Patriots in 2004. The Dolphins were a better team and the Patriots a worse team, though, at the time, but it's worth mentioning.

The Patriots have never lost to Donovan McNabb. They've never beaten AJ Feeley. Food for thought.

The Eagles have the ability to get to Brady consistently (which nobody has all year, and that alone is interesting) because they routinely bring 5 or 6 rushers, but while they have a good secondary, there's no way they can keep up w/ our receivers.

Either way it's a new style of defense from what we've seen and I'm curious as to how we handle it.
