"Why?" is the question.

Why has there been a huge increase in the following types of threads over the past few weeks:

A) Darren McFadden
B) Other draft prospects
C) Offseason needs
D) Moss' contract

This isn't March, people! We sound like a bunch of Jets fans talking about who they want to draft with their high pick next year.

That's because their season is already over.

HINT: The Patriots' season isn't!

10-0.

Not Darren McFadden.

10-0.

Not mock drafts.

10-0.

Not exercising options.

10-0.

We're just getting ready for Philadelphia.

All those who post about the Pats' offseason needs need to remember these two numbers:

This is good news. I thought having one thread was cool, but people can't seem to keep it to one thread.

I think everyone seems to be getting a little greedy. In some people's minds we have already won the super bowl and they just want to think about getting richer in the offseason. The offseason helps you get ready for the actual season and winning championships, not the other way around.

I agree everyone should enjoy the season right now because that is why we are fans. Winning games is more enjoyable to me than seeing who we drafted in the first round.

I think its because we have been so good that there hasn't been much to whine about as far as the team is concerned, usually around this time of year, the Pats have atleast 2-3 losses and there is something to criticize them about. But this year, we are 10-0 and the only threads that are really being started are by Maroney haters wanting to know if hes made of glass. Threads about contracts and the draft is a good way of keeping active discussion on the board. A thread about Tom Brady being the best QB in football can only go on so long, because we all agree on the issue.

The normal pattern of this board is to discuss the team's problems. Since there are apparently no problems right now, we have to discuss future problems instead.

1. No substantive team problems to discuss
2. Last week's W was such a blowout, not much about the game to discuss
3. No substantive this week's opponent's capabilities to discuss
4. No upcoming rival worth discussing in advance

Hopefully some of this will improve as we approach the mildly challenging Steelers game but their pathetic loss to the Jets (The JETS, people!) really 'cooled the jets' on that game.
