Talking Slightly OT: Delusional Jets fans

Being the bitter person I am, I enjoy visiting other teams boards especially when their team is down. (no trolling just reading) So anyway I go to Jetsinsider a lot and read about how great Kellen Clemens is and what everyone is planning for his imminent HOF induction. I am just blown away I have seen most every snap this chap has taken and I feel great about the Jets future, as in it looks a lot like the present. I dont think the kids got NFL talent or smarts. So anywho I'm reading the obligatory injure Brady thread and a Pat fan on there(who has over 1500 posts, patfanken) calls the guy a scumbag and says he should be worried about his own karma wishing injury on others. This whiny little jet fan replies "Moderator this is a personal attack please ban" and lo and behold a long time poster is banned. Just goes to show you how high the tension is over there....I love it.

***BREAKING NEWS***

JETS ANNOUNCE "STRATEGIC FORFEIT" AGAINST PATRIOTS

November 23,2007 - Hempstead, NY - New York Jets officials today announced that they would forfeit the their upcoming game against the New England Patriots scheduled to take place next month in Foxboro, MA. Jets Coach Eric Mangini justified the unprecedented move to abandon the December 16th game by suggesting it is in the team's best interest to do so.

"Really, when you think about it, what's the point?" said Mangini, once referred to as fans as "Mangenius" though now more often heard referred to as "MangIdiot" within the Meadowlands. "We already know we're going to lose - and chances are we're going to lose badly, with the team humiliated and any confidence we have left destroyed. The odds-makers are already predicting we'll be 30-40 point underdogs, potentially putting us in the record books as the most over-matched team ever."

"The best thing we can do is simply stay home, get some rest, prepare for our game against the Titans, and hold onto what little is left of our dignity," concluded Mangini.

From that article, up there for understatement of the year by Cotchery:

"We weren't able to get into a groove," receiver Jerricho Cotchery said.

If a groove as wide as the Grand Canyon showed up, they couldn't have fallen into it.

Clemens is a bum. I know, I know, we have to give him time. You guys can keep waiting and I'll just go ahead and call the kid a stiff RIGHT NOW. The kid's arm strength is average at best. He s short for a QB(6-2). His accuracy is brutal right now. I just don't see what they see in this kid. He's new blood that's about it. He'll never be anything in this league.

I dunno. How's he stack up compared to other new QBs like say John Beck?

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH

I was banned from their board months ago. I too was a long-time fan. I think it took about 5 posts and 25 minutes for me to get banned!

Kudo's to Patfanken for lasting so long!
