Nice. To make it more complete (though a bit more work to keep up to date, I realize the season records need to be updated weekly), I suggest you annotate the entry where a record is first broken with the final tally (or latest total for records still in force). e.g.

NFL Record: Brady's 9th consecutive game with 3+ touchdown passes (Manning 8, 2004) (record stands at 10 consecutive games and still in progress as of week 11)

Franchise Record: Brady 33 touchdowns to date, most single-season touchdown passes (Parilli 31, 1964) (record now stands at 38 after week 11)

...or something of the sort. (I think making a single entry per record and then updating it is the clearest and least cluttered).

Sounds good. Would you want it updated in each new game box or just kept in the box from when it was broken?

This is awesome! Thanks so much for doing this! I know it's a bit of work to do, especially given other duties on this board. Really appreciate it.

My inclination would be to have each record once, listed in the game in which it was first set and updated to the latest status. Less clutter, there are at least 6 such ongoing records right now and so many entries per game would look silly. But make the "still in progress" notation stand out, a different color, so that people can easily spot such records in the middle of the page.

It would stand to reason that G-ski is on track for most point after attempts in a season. That would be one to watch.

Funny you should mention that.

The record for most PATs attempted is 70, by the immortal Uwe von Schamann of Miami. He also holds the record for most PATs made, with 66. At the current rate of scoring, Gostkowski will pass both of those numbers by the end of the Pittsburgh game.

I am curious, what is the most players on a team to score TD? I just heard 20 different Pats have scored a TD this year. If that is not a record that has to be close.

20th player for TD
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff
November 25, 07 08:28 PM

Asante Samuel's interception return for a touchdown marked the 20th different player to score at least one touchdown for the Patriots this season.

That puts the Patriots one shy of tying the NFL record -- of 21 different players to score at least one touchdown -- set by the Denver Broncos in 2000 and the Los Angeles Rams in 1987.
