Well he is certainly putting up better stats than ever. He is one TD away from being tied for his career high and its only been 10 games. With Brady has his QB and Brady having Moss as his receiver, they both look better than they ever have.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

The younger Moss had unmatched skills and speed. The mature Moss has knowledge, unmatched skills and speed. His skills and speed may not be exactly what they were when he was in his first few years of NFL play, but he now has Brady. Brady and knowledge make Moss a better player playing at the highest level of his career.

i think the only folks who can answer this question are those who played against him at the Vikings. while it's hard to imagine that his pass catching abilities were better before and while he seems to have an intuitive sense of how to get open that's almost scary, "people say" that he's lost a step in the open field. only someone who tried to cover him before and is trying to cover him now could answer that question.

He's a more complete WR because he's running cross routes and has been a more focused route runner. That being said, Moss 5-6 years ago was even more of a physical freak than he is today.

I think Randy himself forgot how good Randy was back when he was a cog on a team that knew how to use him. As an athlete, I'm sure he's appreciative of the circumstance he's found himself in, and is making every attempt to train himself both on and of the field to get back one ounce of how it felt to be the most feared WR in the league. That, I believe is what we are seeing at this point.
I pray that Randy finishes his career with Brady as his QB, because they deserve each other, and it can only get better from here. As much as Tom believed in Branch, I think Moss may be the one that can take this team to a level never matched in sports history, because you can see a kinship developing with these two already.

Belichick says he is the most football-smart WR he has ever been around.
I doubt that was true in his early days.
No doubt, if you are judging raw physical tools, he probably has digressed a bit, but if you include how much more intellgent he has become, he may in fact be beter than ever. (And by the way I think he continues to get smarter playing with Brady)

I think there is a common misconception. Tom Brady doesn't make Randy Moss better - he makes him LOOK better. ie, Randy Moss is Randy Moss. he runs the same speed, same routes, has the same hands, etc, no matter who is throwing it to him. it's just that Brady puts the ball in the right spot so often, so it LOOKS like Moss is somehow better.
he is what he is, he just looks better b/c of his teamates
