Default Tate and BJGE

First, Tate is showing that he is completely healed from that ACL injury he had. And wow, is he ever showing his kick return skills.. And the kick return unit is doing excellent. Much better than last year.

BJGE is proving to be a very capable RB, though I am not sure what happened for most of the 3rd quarter. I have to say that he's making me a believer. Granted, the O-lines run blocking is also improved, but BJGE is breaking tackles and such. Which is what is needed.

my favorite thing about Lawfirm (besides the nickname which is awesome) is that he moves the pileat least a yard or 2. he'd rather get 4 consistently then 20 once and -5 then next time. i am intersted to see how fast he can be in the open though

I found his AWOL 3rd perculiar too. I guess I ended up attributing it to BB wanted Woodhead to get some game reps. He wasn't injured, cuz he came in and did well at the end of the game.

The more I see of BJGE, the more I like.

Tate - just WOW. That's all I got.

I hope BJGE can handle 16-20 carries per game on a consistent basis. He looks good enough to be our workhorse, not a Corey Dillon by any means but perhaps an Antowain Smith. As good as Brady is, you have to keep those defenses honest.

Even though it only netted 3 points, I loved our first scoring drive, just pounded it down their throats. Until going 5 wide on 1st and goal But I love nothing more than seeing the drive review chart and how our last one lasted 9+ minutes.

Tate's progression is fine as well. If that keeps up he is one of the better 3rd round choices of BB's time.

It is amazing how he gets 2 more yards than he ever should on so many runs, after it seems like the play is over. He's got incredible desire. Plus he wraps up that ball, I don't think we need to worry about him fumbling. Just a very efficient runner.

Tate can look ordinary on many KO returns, but he's already broken 3 for TD's in the last 6 weeks. So he obviously sees the field very well and is a big time KR threat. I also like him very much opposite Moss, and Brady's comfortable throwing to him.

The Pats have had three outstanding kick returners recently who were all different. Ellis Hobbs was a classically agile kick returner -- tough and fast enough but principally elusive. Maroney (yes, remember him?) was also a surprisingly good kick returner in a very different style. He practically sought contact to clear himself a path. Tate doesn't have a great change of direction (though that little hitch he does really helps confuse defenders) but he sees the field well and, boy, is he fast!

Can't wait for Tate to hone his route-running skills--he's going to be a beast for us.

Green-Ellis is just the kind of back we've needed for a while. Nothing special, just hits the hole hard and gets yards after contact. I like our running game a lot. The oline looks noticeably stronger this year.

Tate is only behind Leon Washington in kick return average. He is tied with Washington with 2 TD returns and he is over a hundred yards ahead of any other player in return yardage. It would be hard for him not to be the AFC probowl kick returner if he continues this, minus the TDs as keeping that pace is insane considering Cribbs holds the record at 8 for an entire career.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

This offense is so much more efficient when TB gets to work from a consistent 2nd and 6. BJGE is making that happen. As stated, his tackle pile always seems to move forward.............

Nice to see Tate get involved not only on ST, but in the basic offense, he's been real quiet offensively these first 3 games, I hope he becomes more involved each week, he'll really take the pressure off of the TE's and Moss.

Love BGJE. Not flashy but he gains consistent yardage on every play. Which is exactly what this offense needs. If he continues to run like this it will result in safety help for the run, which leaves moss to work deep one on one.
