Default Tomase contines on the 72' Fins saga

http://news.bostonherald.com/sports/...icleid=1043887

i remember him writing a similar story in week 2 or 3. He seems to obsessed with talking to the old fins about this all the time. And of course he looks for sound bites by mentioning vrabel's quotes

"Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel called them “washed up” in a radio interview last week, and they’ve been labeled grumpy old men for not wanting their record to be broken.

The Herald really misses Breer. That about sums it up.

Seems to me that, during a week in which this was such a big story, this would be a smart, logical new angle on it. But don't let that get in the way of your agenda with Tomase. Keep looking for reasons to pile on.

Oh, and it's a really good story. I'm not sure what your problem is with it.

Anyone else a little curious about the placement of the "#" symbol here? Is that the Broncos own asterisk for cheating on the salary cap? If so, that's classic.

A lot of Dolphin's like Kutchenberg are pretty cool about the whole thing, putting no stock in the notion that 1 quarter's worth of videotape that never made it to the locker room could in any way shape or form be viewed as tainting a perfect season

They've got nothing to be concerned about if the Pats wind up doing it anwyay - they did it first

It's a relevant story. It's the bye week.

What I found humorous was Kunchinberg's insistence that he wouldn't talk about it until the streak is in double digits. I don't blame him for that because they know when a streak is relevant and when it's not. Then he went on to talk about it anyway.

I don't understand Mike Vrabel's ungracious comment at all. I'm amazed at how little respect is paid to elders in our society, guys who got there first, guys who climbed the original mountain while guys like Vrabel weren't even in diapers yet.

We are the original throw-away society, and it's really cool to do that until you are also thrown away. Which is why some huge number of military veterans are homeless, and old people live alone.

Mostly what those Dolphins have to say is complimentary while they balance their right to defend their record. For a bunch of people here that really appreciate what it means to dominate other teams I'd think that we could relate.

Well vrabel said more than once "hall of fame coach" and "lot of respect" so he was complimentary of them as well . He said they dont play hard because some old retired coach calls them out or old washed up players make comments.
obviously they have picked up the 2 words old and washed up and spun it around and asked the fins explayers about it.

I guess the fact that Tomase has openly questioned the legitimacy of the Pats 3 Sb titles leaves a mark. But I guess you are too busy washing his balls to actually read his work. As far as the latest tripe, reading about "the perfect season" is the easy way out for a sports writer. It is junk food that any clown could write. I have learned nothing about the Pats from the Herald I couldn't learn reading the AP wire. I guess that's what you expect from a hometown paper.
