I think this says a lot more about the position than it does about the player. OLine and WR/DB are a lot more likely to get calls on them (False Start/PI). RB/QB arent, as well as LB and DLine.

There's no way that WRs are more likely to get calls on them than LBs. They aren't listening for a snap count for one so false starts should be next to nil. Secondly offensive PI gets called pretty rarely, overall.

Meanwhile LBs are much more likely to get a 5/15 yard facemask penalty, defensive holding call or a PF roughing the passer penalty than a WR should be getting called for holding on a running play.

Wow, so the Robert Gallery pick is really working out for the Raiders, eh?

If you look more closely, they showed the most penalized per POSITION, so in that instance there would naturally be a QB listed, and it happen to be Palmer, but it could have been Brady, Manning, or Garcia.

Fair enough. I should not have mentioned WRs. I'm just bitter about the Moss PI.

Of course there needs to be a QB listed, but doesnt 24 seem a bit excessive to you for that position?

Assuming Intentional Grounding and the very rare False Start at that position, Palmer's got more penalties than all LBs and is right with the Safety's rates!

What the heck is he doing??

Perhaps delay-of-game is counted against the quarterback as well?
