Get lost. Why are you still lurking on a Patriots board, loser. Get the F outta here, dildo.

Written apology as reported by a Pats site? Look, the calls were not the best, granted. What Pereira does (as someone else has stated) is try to interpret what he feels the officials on the field saw at the time of the play. It was a mere milli second, but Hobbs DOES impede Wayne before he looks for the ball. IMO, should have been a no call. But I learned long ago to take what they give you. Pats have for years, no apologies. Funny how you think you are being screwed all the way to 16-0!!

As reported by the Globe and Herald.

I put this in another thread but it bears repeating here, I guess-

Mike Pereira's explanation of the Hobbs PI penalty was not one of emphatic support. He justifies the call by ASKING viewers whether Hobbs was turned around before Hobbs made contact with Wayne. Mike Pereira (head of NFL officials) answers his own question by saying, "I don't think so." Huh?

Before he ran the clip of the play, Pereira had implied that the call was a "classic" case of cutting off a receiver's route illegally; then he shows the play and gives the limp wrist endorsement above. Even allowing for the fact that fallible human judgement is required on any penalty call, this was the weakest validation of one of his refs I've ever seen.

Meanwhile the referees missed a ton of calls/penalties on the Colts:

Referees signaling Aaron Moorehead's catch in bounds
Dallas Clark mauling Rodney Harrison on the interception attempt
Gary Brackett mauling Kevin Faulk on screen pass attempt
Referees spotting the ball an extra yard, rewarding the Colts a faux first down
Aaron Moorehead clipping on Rashad Baker during Joseph Addai's long run
Antoine Bethea interfering with Randy Moss on the deep post pattern
Colts offensive lineman ripping Rosevelt Colvin's helmet completely off
Colts defense simulating Patriots offensive snap count

I was watching the game at my brothers house...and when they came back from the commercial....by bro came back into the room to ask me what was the down and distance....and I said, Second and about 2 yards.

1st and 10 Colts....I had to rewind the DVR......thinking I must have missed a play. You have got to be kidding me.

I rewatched the game yesterday.....and it looks like they gave Addai another yard and a half....The Pats got jobbed on that spot...big time.

No - the broadcast had the yellow line in the wrong spot. It was the fault of CBS. It is possible to figure this from previous threads on Sunday night but also looking at the tape and then looking at where the drive started on 1st down two plays earlier.

Remember Moss being called for offensive pass interference in the 4th? What a crock of *****.

My problem is with the line judge waiving the chain gang on (indicating a 1st down) even before the ball was spotted. As he was coming into the pile to spot the ball, he was clearly inside the 12 yard line, but somehow the ball ended up at the 12.

I understand "rounding up" sometimes to a marked line on the hash. Makes bookkeeping for the officials a little easier. However you obviously don't do it if the 1st down yardage is in question.

Bad spots happen. Farging up the process, which could have contributed to the sequence of events leading up to Addai's TD, is just another turd-ball thrown at the Pats from this crew.

Hey ***** for brains... go away.

No one listens to anything you have to say... which isn't much.

Anyone have Pereira's email address handy?
