Default Faulk and Maroney positives.

On the diving touch down by Kevin faulk did he look like a pro bowl first round pick or what?

I wished he was able to run against more defenses BB would put him in there for sure.

that diving touch down by faulk is something I dont think Maroney can do. Although I did see Maroney do a few cut backs too bad he couldnt break for big gains due to the colts db speed.

I really want to see more of Kevin faulk doing those high calibre plays like the diving touchdown. Faulk beat 3 colts on that play and also gained 10 yards, not to mention scored a touchdown.

And then Faulk lost the ball, albeit without harm to the team.

No, I don't think diving across the goal line is a special skill. But I do think Faulk is a heckuva player. In particular, with a little more strength and power he'd be a major star. And not-quite-a-major-star still leaves him as a very good athlete.

faulk could have easily just made contact and then fall down at the 3 yard line or something, but he instead does a sick cut move and dives in for the TD.

3 colts! one tried to tackle his legs and the other 2 went for his body. They still couldnt stop him.

I think Addai = younger version of faulk/curtis martin
Maroney = younger version of Dhillon and A.Smith

Actually, when they showed the replays, it was clear that Faulk placed the ball down. He didn't lose it. You have to see it from the camera on the opposite side of the field. After the dive, with the ball clearly in the End Zone, he just takes his hand away from it.

I notice it always takes a pile of colts to take down maroney. He always drives his legs and he runs like a big back but has the agility to roll against walls of defenders, so Maroney is really good at moving piles. Plus he can cut back so if they keep running Maroney to the right side maroney is a rb that can cut back to the left if he needs to, he can even cut back to the left side after engaging contact on the right side that is what makes maroney such a good back.

Maroney punches the hole hard and drives his legs so he sells the Play action so damn well, and not to mention his cut backs!

He is still young I cant wait to see him do more cut backs in the future as a patriot. Addai cant make contact with piles and cut back like maroney, addai has to cut back but avoid contact, where as maroney can engage contact and drive piles and have the strength and agility to cut back.

Due to the speed of the colts defense maroney couldnt break for big gains, but against the rest of the NFL, Maroney very effective.

The 1st huge run maroney broke it looked like he had another gear that he could have kicked into.

I hope we see more plays like this from maroney in the playoffs.

Maroney really gashed the jaguars for huge runs with his speed ang agility. If the patriots get past the afc championship game, malroney could have a huge superbowl game.
