Default Is Brady Manning the greatest QB rivalry ever?

I mean really?

I think 20 years from now people will still argue who number 1 is, but I think history will show that whomever you believe number 1 is, it will be common knowledge that these were the two best quarterbacks ever!

And the fact that both have been so infinately succesfully means that they get to play each other every single year.

Did Marino and Elway ever face each other?

It is really special that these two get to see each other every year.

And I think Patriot and Colt fans are going to wake up one day and realize how truly amazing both these quarterbacks are when they retire.

For both franchises sakes, I hope both retire with there teams.

Guys, we are really witnessing something beyond special in sports.

Two quarterbacks that are in a whole other dimension compared to everyone else.

I don't think there has been or ever will be a better QB rivalry in the history of the game then what we are witnessing now.

Both Pats and Colts fans have been truly blessed!

They are both great Qb's , I see Brady turning like manning now and manning turning like brady. In other words, brady's passing success and with great receivers, then manning with easing off the passing and actually running the ball more. But Brady is better cause he has twice as much of great receivers!

I honestly don't think there's a rivalry as far as Brady and Manning go - QBs don't play each other.

As far as fans go, that's a different thing entirely.

I'll say this though - Manning went up more than a few notches in my book when he did the United Way spoof on SNL

I think they compare favorably to the Marino-Elway rivalry.

Both rivalries are and were as good as it gets. This one is better in that their teams play each other far more often.

It reminds me of the Bird-Magic duels, and the Clemens-Stewart duels. Especially Bird-Magic was special because that sport lends itself to head-to-head combat.

Doesn't matter to me though that football does not do that because both cities get to see their stars on the field Sunday during the same game, and only will be victorious.

I think the Babe Parilli - George Blanda rivalry was better.

I'm leaning towards the Ryan Leaf / Akili Smith rivalry

that was one for the ages.

There will be no rivalary after Brady breaks, ahem, shatters Manning's TD record.
By the end of 2007 Brady will have 4 rings AND the stats to prove that he is the GREATEST!

Kelly Marino any one?

My personal fave was opening day 1994 when Marino pitched 400+ yards and 5 TDs for the Miami win, especially after all the critics said his achilles injury ruined his career.

Staubach-Bradshaw, Starr-Unitas, Young-Aikman... Marino wasn't Elway's biggest rival, Kosar was. That said, this will go down as the greatest of all, I think, when all's said and done.
