I feel very bad for Andy Reid. I can't believe people are calling for his suspension.

It's gone too far. I mean, the media in general. I wish there was some way to scale the whole thing back but with 24 hour news and sports shows and the internet, any idiot can air out an opinion under the guise of being an "expert".

And I do notice a complete and total double standard when it comes to Reid's problems with his children and Tony Dungy. Actually, when it comes to ANYONE and Tony Dungy. I'm not saying anything against Dungy's tragedy because it was awful, but it seems clear both Reid AND Dungy had problems with kids. Andy Reid should get the same courtesy that was shown to Tony Dungy. In other words, BUTT OUT MEDIA.

i heard king on weei that reid and dungy have talked quite a bit about this.
Also, where did they talk about suspension ? any link ?

As far as I can tell, Reid provided his kids with 3 squares and a warm place to ***** every day and that puts him ahead of 90 percent of what the world's fathers can provide for their children. So he wasn't around? So what? That's why his kid has decided to become a junkie? Please I know so many people (including myself) who have come from so much worse circumstances and managed to avoid embarrassing their families like Reids kids. It ain't his fault people. He just got unlucky. Try it yourself at home kids. Have a few rug rats and see how *they* turn out.

You mean giving grown men (22 and 24 years old) free reign over a household so them and the rest of their junkie friends can get high and throw parties whenever they want because daddy is busy drawing up defensive schemes? The "only" thing he could do is spend more time with them? Gee, is that all?

I just saw a report from ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, during which two players (running back Correll Buckhalter and cornerback Sheldon Brown) openly bemoaned the fact that players would be suspended if their houses were full of drugs. So while the players might have previously felt bad for their coach, the latest revelations might have been enough to prompt them to begin to emotionally disconnect from the boss. Also, Paolantonio wrapped his report by saying that Reid told his assistants, "No matter what, I'm staying on the job for the rest of the season."
