Default Do the skins have it up front?

I'm developing a habit of thinking that the only way to beat Brady is to do it with the front four. This is mostly due to the way he's handled the blitz. His numbers against the blitz are unbelievable. The rest of the offense too. I can still see Kevin Faulk taking out some massive LB a few weeks ago, chopped him to the ground, pass complete, move the chains, so much for the blitz.

I can still see Denver (playoff) blitzing over and over and getting burned underneath over and over, and finally flying the white flag and giving up. To me that was one of the most superb jobs of quarterbacking I've ever seen. They handle the blitz. Joe: Forget the blitz.

So I'm thinking that if the Skins don't have the same quality up front (like the Giants) to collapse that pocket consistently, they just won't have a realistic shot. We know the Cowboys couldn't do it. San Diego couldn't do it. Jason Taylor didn't exist last week. Even Aaron Shoebel ended up failing.

I actually think the Giants are a very dangerous team at this point. I think so not because they've won a few in a row, but the way they're doing it. They seem to have a complete team. Their front four seem to be at a very high level. If there is one team besides than Indy that looks like they have all the pieces in one place at one time, it could be the Giants.

Who said Plaxico Burris was a "wuss" and would never make it outside of the umbrella of the Steelers' running game and Hines Ward?

Our defensive line has been pretty solid so far this year. I don't think we've yet to face any amazing O Lines though (Detroit's was laughable) so we'll see what we can get done Sunday. Our backs constitute the strongest point of our defense. I think Moss will have a challenging day.

The line has really stepped it up. A. Carter leads the team with 5 Sacks and 2 PDs. Griffin has 1.5. Daniels with .5 but 4 PDs. Evans has 1 sack and 1 PD. Chris wilson and golston both have a sack. The real strength of the Dline i think is the ability to rush 3 drop a man in coverage, or rush 4 and get substantial pressure out of the deal. Dline also has very nice hands and are able to deflect alot of passes. Especiallly Mr. Long Arms Phillip Daniels.

Not afraid of the Pats o-line against them at all. They won't generate any consistent pressure without the help of blizting.

Good points. But you can't honestly say we've faced an elite O-Line yet. I thought that Philly's might have been a good one but judging how they've played since our game.. I dunno.

Hate to burst your Bubble kiddo but we have rarely blitzed all season long. Rushing 4 sometimes 3 linemen. 16 sacks in 6 games is pretttty good for that kind of attack.

And the Pats pass protection has been pretttttty good all season long. The only teams that generated any pressure were San Diego and Dallas, which both run 3-4s. They also didn't even come close to stopping our offense.

Stalemate... lets call it a tie and just focus on week 9 matchups.......

5 were against Detroit who have allowed a ridiculous 31 sacks already.

That leaves 11 in 5 games which is alright but less than SD and Dallas who we did fine against.

Brady will have plenty of time IMO, once or twice he'll have to take a sack.

Ive noticed this... Pats fans are big Advocates of taking out stats from games they deem to be unworthy. But at the same time when their legitimacy is questioned, they sing you a song about how it is not their fault they played these teams, and simply took down those laid out in front of them...... Hypocrisy??? Perhaps......
