I don't think so. Miami has to be as bad as it can get. The 'Skins have a defense and a decent offese I believe. The game is in Foxboro and the Pats just keep scoring alot of points. So why stop now.

Point spreads are about bringing the money in on even sides for the house, not a measuring stick for how good a team is.

The Skins won't even score 28 pts.

We'll get a nice look at how we do against a good secondary, playing the skins (unless there are injuries I dont know about.)

Agreed that point spread is not a good measuring stick, but in any case remember that this game is in NE so theoretically the Redskins would be getting 13 1/2 on a neutral site while the Phins would have gotten ~20.

Living in DC I hear plenty about the Skins. Their big problem now is injuries along the offensive line--they've been decimated. Second biggest problem is disorganization among the coaching staff which leads to all sorts of game management errors. Gregg Williams has used a different defensive philosophy this year--very little blitzing, emphasizing coverage. Unfortunately for them this results in relatively weak QB pressure, which Brady will surely enjoy. Maybe they blitz this game, it would be an interesting twist from a Redskins perspective.

Their defense will provide the biggest challenge to our offense so far. I say "challenge" relatively speaking...the Skins offense is mediocre at best though. We are going to win going away.

Skins have a large and fanatic fan base who will bet heavily on them regardless of the odds. Dolphins fans hate their team, and are unwilling to bet on them. This alone would account for some of the point difference.

No. The Pats are at home, which adds to the spread. Had this past geam been a home game, NE would have been favored by 22.5 points.

If so, you would expect the spread to be lower than it is.
