I said it about the the Brady fine, and i'll say it about this. The league is going to nitpick everything the patriots do. the number of fines the pats collect this year will rival whoever has the record amount of fines.

This stuff goes on around the pile in every game. I can't believe he got fined for this.

Watch the film in Mix's post above.

After Wilfork's hit, Sam Hurd (#17) throws a little shot at Harrison's head. Of course Rodney doesn't go flying the way Witten does (probably because Hurd doesn't weigh 1000 lbs like Wilfork) but still looks like a late shot to the head to me.

Even if Wilfork's shot was much harder, the fine was for a late hit: meaning after the play was over. But again, looking at the tape, it appears that not only is Hurd still engaging Harrison, but there are two players above the pile (you can only see their legs) who appear to be still engaging each other after Wilfork's hit.

That's four other players besides Wilfork, who obviously don't think the play is "over".

While I agree that these fines are ridiculous, they should at least be consistant across the board. Anyone wanna guess how much any of these other guys were fined!

You guys all being homers on this one,,

Wilfork took multiple steps to get to Witten and give him a good forearm to the back. The view in the game was from a different angle (than the video clip) and the only reason he did not get flagged was that there was another penalty on that play IIRC.

I think there is a good chance this woulda been a fine last year.

So if DT's Henderson or Stroud from Jacksonville did the same thing to Watson, you'll all say part of the game??

The Buffalo fine should be canceled, but this one counts.

Oh, it's usually the second punch that gets caught, wonder what Witten was doing?? Or was this part of their "Lets nail him at the LOS plan"??

The guy is standing there with his back to Wilfork watching after the play is over and he gives him a shot in back and you wonder why he got fined when he has priors?

It's not surprising at all. It's clearly unecessary contact.

I don't mind our players being fined when they deserve it.

The question is why don't the other players that play us get fined?

But the play wasn't over, the refs never blew the whistle

I have a problem with the hit on Losman, not that it hurt the Bills' chances any. To me iIt did not look like *only* a trip and fall. It appeared to be a trip, followed by an intentional hit that could easily have been avoided.

But I was not out there getting tripped going full speed. So I don't claim to know, but I'm just saying what it looked like from my TV angle.

Of course, I also had a gorgeous blonde who was drunk and disorderly sitting on my lap at the moment. That did seem to change my angle too.

You don't realize how hard it is - I mean to get these angles right.
