Default Both Mannings

Ya know, I hate these guys. I went to the University of Florida, went to the Swamp and watched and cheered Payton get waxed. I have cheered against him and his brother for a long time. And his father, oh man don't even get me started.

But ya know, those dudes have not said one thing bad about the pats in all this nonsense this year. And I must admit, that I now know who the real enemy is and it ain't them. (well, maybe their father still, but I can ignore him)

Last night during monday night football, I didn't even grit my teeth and swear at the gods about how the Mannings must be removed from the earth. I seem to not care anymore. I actually think that Payton is amazingly great, and that it is soo cool to have Ali vs Fraser kinda thing going on. I think that we are lucky as fans to have the two Mannings. I think that Eli is pretty cool too. I mean, how great is it that Tiki is not there and they are winning. Tiki is such a douch.

Anybody else feel different about the Mannings this year?

Compared to Ldt, ManDouchbag, Dungy, The Commish, Wade, Porter, and so many of the others, the Mannings are frick'n pretty cool.

Wow, you may be opening your self to some flames. I agree about the whole rivalry aspect. It got a lot better with the Colts finally getting the ring, at least in my eyes.

I'm in the same boat- Peyton looks like a respectable guy in comparison to some of these d-bags like Whines Ward, TJ Whosyourmama, LT, Merriman and TO. And the rivalry has been bumped up a notch since January. November 4th is going to be one heck of a show - getcha popcorn ready

True. I actually hated the Mannings with a passion before this year, but for some reason I don't really care about rooting against them anymore. In fact, I've been quite impressed with Eli's progression this year. I also hated Tiki Barber and think he is one of the biggest phony's out there(LT takes the cake though). I also hate Archie though. The guy needs to stop hopping into TV booths and in front of microphones every time one of his sons is playing. Hey Archie, you had your chance and you STUNK in the pros. Get out of the way.

I can't disagree with any of that. It's like another poster said, after a loss Peyton doesn't throw out excuses and say the other team isn't that great like a lot of our opponents have, he has called out team mates and while that should be something done in the locker room it isn't the worst thing in the world, especially when they DID have protection issues that game. The Colts players are really not unlikable people, Dungy and Polian are, but the players are great and consistently play their asses off.

Eli has been playing quite well, I think. Wonder if some still consider him a "bust"? Looks like Tiki might have been part of the problem! Archie doesn't seek the spotlight (unless he is championing a cause). AND, I wouldn't say he sucked. He played on poor teams, and was always scrambling for his life. Maybe he wasn't the greatest, but he didn't suck.

Flames. Hey, "I ams what I ams and I ain'ts no mores!" Popeye.

It don't matter to me. I really think that they are great to have in the league and I have seen the real enemy. It just dawned on me last night. I don't hate the Mannings as much anymore.

I think that there are enough people here who dig football. This year has really underscored the fact that there are people in the league who are real chicken*****s, slimey, backstabbing louts who do not deserve to feel anything but loss after loss after loss.

Hey, I certainly don't want the Mannings (either) to win the big ones, (against us, or the SuperDuperBowl) but they are or seem to be good people who have reasonable minds and are not back stabing slime.

I mean, it seems pretty obvious to me. There is a clear distinction. (Dungy by the way is a slime ball to me so it ain't like I am too blasphamous.) Maybe I am?

Again, it don't really matter.

Well, Archie makes my stomach turn. But I don't want to get into it with ya. I expect colt fans to stick up for "the family."

And as far as Tiki "might" have been, well the season and carrier of Eli has a long way to go, but he is showing to be (as I stated) a reasonable person which is cool to me. There are so many unreasonable jerks in sports, Payton and Eli, (even though they are the enemy) they are not really rotten people. I mean, this year, we have seen some really rotten people come to the forefront. That the manning brothers have kept their mouths shut about all this camera crap is really a testament and I think that its cool to note it.

I've found myself rooting (a little) for Eli Manning this year, but that's more a product of my disdain for sportswriters and talking heads, who had him pegged as a failure. I've found myself wishing him well, only to remember the BS he pulled before the draft and not going to the Chargers. But, ****, I'd take Eli, who has grown a set as well as seeming respectful, over that whiney brat Rivers.

Peyton's not dumb. He's not going to give the Pats any more ammo than absolutely necessary.
