Default A Ben Watson Sack: This Year's Dropkick?

In an article in today's Providence Journal, Ben Watson tells Jim Donaldson that if Vrabel gets to come in on offense and catch the occasional touchdown, Watson should get a chance to line up on defense and rush the quarterback:

Quote:
``I want to come in on third-and-long,'' he said, smiling broadly. "I want to come in when it's third-and-20, when everybody's knows the quarterback is going to pass, and get a sack.''
The last few years, the Pats have done something a little goofy in their last game of the season. In '05, there was the Doug Flutie dropkick for an extra point, and last season, BB let Testaverde throw the ball when the game was wrapped up in order to break the all-time record for consecutive seasons w/ a TD pass.

How much would you love for a Watson sack to be this year's last-game bit of tomfoolery?

Not Vinatieri, it was Testaverdi

This quote was live on 'Patriots Fifth Qtr' when Steve Burton was egging Watson on about Vrabes, jokingly asking if the 'regular' TEs were pissed at Vrabes for hoging the TDs. Watson, smiling replied that the TEs just wanted their shot at an easy 3rd and 20 pass rush sack. Funny exchange.

LOL for Watson's joke.

But I think a 1-yard TD catch is easier than a sack ...

I actually predicted at the begining of that year that Flutie would score from a wishbone formation behind Vrabel and Bruschi. Of course nobody thought such a crazy thing could happen. Funny that something crazier did happen.
