Randall Gay and Asante Samuel get 2 solid claps.

Bring on the Browns.
I don't know about Gay. He does get props for the INT, but the guy needs to learn how to tackle better. His method of trying to basically swing the ball carrier to the ground seems to consistently give them an extra yard or two. He gave one receiver a first down on one play because he hit him about a yard and a half behind the first down marker and swung him past the first down marker.

I guess I am nitpicking.

The TEs did a really good job tonight, Watson laid out several guys on nice knock-down blocks (the long 49 yard run to the right and the 7 yard TD run). He also showed really nice hands on a difficult catch for 7 yards down the middle.

Definitely not a stat-packed night for Watson, but he's shown a real improvement in all the little things this year.

I agree. I didn't give it a second thought at the time. He looks tough. Not only this game, in which his performance will prolly be debated, but he has given us everything we could've expected from Dillon (and, personally, more this year).

Watson has really stepped up this year. Nice call. He's less of a focus directly, but when called upon, he has delivered. With less fear, fan-wise, he has been brilliant in the "team" aspects of diversion, blocking, etc.

He is still putting up good TE #s, too; season projection-wise.

To tell you the truth, I didn't much care for the Morris signing at the beginning of the year... but, he really has changed my mind. The guy is a beast...

He had some excellent blocks tonight, including a great one on the Morris touchdown run. He's becoming a complete tight end, and he's fighting the ball on the catch a lot less. That short reception he had in the 3rd quarter where he took a hit in the back as the ball arrived and secured the ball smoothly was a great sign and a demonstration of his improvement. Just what this offense needs, another dynamic player heading up a deep position.

No doubt Morris deserves the game ball.

The Patriots dominated time of possession 37:24 to 22:36. The Patriots will need to keep the defense fresh for Dallas and Indianapolis.

Watson had one of those unsexy but WICKED DIFFICULT catches tonight, where the ball is thrown at your feet. He picked it - one of those easily forgettable but tricky receptions that a lot of guys don't make, and that he used to drop consistently. He's a good, quiet, pleasant surprise this season.
