Default What becomes of Chad Jackson & Troy Brown?

Welker. Moss. Gaffney. Stallworth. Washington. Watson. Kyle Brady.

There aren't enough balls to go around.

Do we finally say our fond farewell to old #80?

If so, he has served us like an absolute champ and deserves whatever he wants at his exit interview. Coaching job. Retired #. Lifetime eparking spot. Whatever!

As far as Jackson, he just could never stay out of the tub long enough to show us what he had. My guess is he goes on IR and we see where we are with Moss next season.

Tough decission.

Glad I don't have to make it. I fear that Brown will go, or something to that effect.

Yikes right?

Assuming our WR corpse (sic) remains healthy, Brown onto IR so he 'get's paid'.
CJ is problematical. I think the Pats would like to IR him since he missed yet another training camp and will not be ready for prime time but his agent has sent signals that they will fight IR. Maybe Washington gets cut or it's always possible to cut another position and keep another WR (too many in my opinion). I really don't know what will happen here.

Why so negative on Jackson ? He's not gone. He'll either be IRed, maybe replace Gaffney or possibly a #6 WR. Troy is kind of extra for sure but I think they'll find a spot for him instead of someone like Chad Brown.

Last I looked, there are 13 games left in the regular season. If this is the only issue related to these two players, then the team is very fortunate.

Things change in a heartbeat. Here's hoping the current status quo exists through the playoffs.

I think Washington gets cut when Brown/Jackson come off the PUP list. Jackson will replace Stallworth next year assuming they resign Moss.

Could be but Washington also helps on special teams which is important. If Jackson is activated I think there's a decent chance it's in place of Gaffney not Washington.

I don't believe that for a second.

No way. Gaffney has earned his keep for this year. He's been an incredible overachiever and there's no way he gets cut now. I do think Jackson will benefit from having all these receivers around him and could actually be productive.

I think they'll IR Jackson - but if it comes down to Washington or Gaffney I think it's close - Gaffney isn't playing a lot and doesn't help on ST.
