Talking I [heart] Wes Welker [merged]

If we have an unofficial Wes Welker fan club, I want to be the VP (Oswlek would be da Prez).

And, if it weren't already obvious, Belichick [hearts] Welker too. Reiss has the quote:

Quote:
What was your reaction when Wes Welker lateraled the ball to Randy?
"I don’t think that was the best play that I’ve ever seen; let’s put it that way. When the players have the ball out there, they have to make the plays and it’s their job to do what they think is best. Being aggressive and trying to make plays is good. Being careless and not taking care of the ball is bad. I’ll talk to Wes about it and see exactly what he saw. I don’t think we want to make a habit of that. In that case, it worked out for a few extra yards. It’s hard to get on him, but we’ll try. We’ll get on him anyway."

That was a little bit of a risky play, and definitely not necessary, but it made my day. Welker has been all we could've expected and more. I am very happy to say I was wrong about the "overpay."

Default Lets not forget Welker!

Moss is getting all the attention and he deserves every bit of it. But how about Welker? This guy is great!!!!!!
And I am also very impressed by the pickup of Morris.

When Seymour and Harrison return I really think this team has a chance to be right up there with the '78 Steelers and '89 49ers. In fact, against the Chargers at the beginning it was just like watching Montana's 1989 team performing surgery.

of course, there is the matter of playing the season and winning a Super Bowl..

Meh...I was laughing when it happened. I thought it was great. If only it went for a TD it would have been the best TD so far this season.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

Nobody has taken any credit away from Welker. We all know he has been great for us. Moss has only a 3 catch lead over him so far this year.

LOL. Pretty much what I thought he'd say.

If I recall correctly, Denny Green or whoever was the coach then wasn't too thrilled when Moss did something similar in Minny. Although I think he was the lateraler in that case, not the lateralee.

It's kind of hard to forget Welker when someone else already started essentially this same thread that has been on the board for the last 15 minutes. (Look down!)
