Default So we can buy tapes, we just can't record them, right?

After the ridiculous penalty the pats were given for recording signals from the sideline, it is clear that we cannot record anything from the sideline anymore.

But can we purchase tapes that were recorded by someone outside the organization?

Because this is what Miami did last year, before using them, beating us, and bragging about it afterwards. Apparently this is legal since they were given no penalty.

If we cannot buy tapes from a third party, i would like to know when Miami will be given their punishment of losing a 1st round pick.

Anytime now Goodell, you spineless piece of trash douchebag.

I agree with that.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

Unfortunately thats just what the rules are. If I were BB, I would give Goodell the minimum material possible, get rid of everything else, and hire a 3rd party to film from the stands. Perfectly legit.

Or How about some Pat fan with season tickets and good seats decide to film opposing teams signals and upload them to a website for the whole world to see. Wouldn't that piss people off.

no it wouldn't be legit. If you have nothing to hide give them everything. Fill up their trailers with tapes. After all it was just a misunderstanding of a rule.

as for the buying tapes, that rule seems odd. Though I guess there isn't a really allowing it, just no rule that says "no buying it". the only rule is no taping yourself.

I'm so glad we have such a great media to ask the hard questions like this to the commish or to anyone for that matter. Instead of trying to seem like they ask the "hard" questions to a coach who they know will not tell them anything

First off, if we do have something to hide, get rid of it. Goodell can't do a thing without hard evidence. He isn't a judge, he can't get court orders etc to search everything. I don't trust him either, I'd be worried about him leaking more stuff we give him.

The Phins only said they bought that iso-tape when they started getting questioned. Someone else said they actually got the tape from miking their defensive lineman. And the more I read about it, I hear that this is common practice in the NFL. A lot of teams mike their DLs illegally. That's why I'm still worried about freaking Goodell.

I really really want Goodell to start going after EVERYONE. Enough hating on the Pats. Or better yet, stop the crusade. The past is the past, lets focus on making a great future for football.
