Default The Denver Broncos looked good today

Today's score from Denver's victory over Buffalo is misleading. The Broncos offense racked up almost 500 total yards. Cutler was blocking, running for first downs, and made clutch throws on both field goal drives at the end of the game. If they tie up the loose ends and correct mistakes they could be very, very good.

Does anyone else consider Denver more threatening than San Diego or Indy? The Colts scorching New Orleans doesn't really worry me. LT throwing for touchdown passes doesn't scare me. What I fear is Mike Shanahan and Jay Cutler forming a successful, long term coach-qb partnership. What if Cutler is able to spark the Broncos like Brady/Roethlisberger/Young did their teams in 2001, 2004, and 2006?

I am watching Denver much more warily than any other AFC rival right now.

Denver is good, and if you sleep on them they will beat you, but they just aren't at the same level as the three elite AFC teams. Buffalo was a 7-9 team last year. Beating them on a last second field goal is not a great accomplishment. The Pats, Colts and Chargers wins were far more impressive because they beat good teams.

Gimme a break they just barely won. Stats are for fantasy geeks.

The Broncos will not be a playoff team this year.

I watched that game intently, on Slingbox while watching the Pats-Jets.

The Bills defense was bend but not break, although they were actually breaking bones all over the place. Yuck.

The Bills offense was inept. But the Bills' OL as excellent, and what's more, Marshawn Lynch looked really really good. Better than McGahee. That being said, Lynch was stuffed on crucial third downs because all the Bills could do was run. Losman could not throw on Champ Bailey, and the Broncos clamped down.

The Denver special teams unit was putrid. And for every great pass Cutler makes, he takes dangerous risks that set his team back bigtime. He's a riverboat gambler, and any team with a better d-backfield than the Bills (i.e. most NFL teams) will make him pay.

Underestimate the Donks at your own risk. They will not miss the playoffs for the second straight year. Mark it down. Wicked easy schedule. Only question mark is the QB and he has most of his 1st half games at home in order to get acclimated to the league.

I can see the Donks coming to Foxboro for the 1st round.

They could easily win the AFCW if the Chargers stumble too.

Small question mark if it's only the QB.

It was ugly. Cutler makes stupid mistakes. But he's only played six games. He was clutch and seems to have taken control of the team. I shudder to think what he can do in a few years. We shouldn't have been in the situation in the first place. Jason Elam never misses, and he missed twice today. Strange.

Anyway. Tony Scheffler isn't back from his foot injury. Our offense will be terrifying when he does. By week six, this team should be clicking and very dangerous. The defense looked good today as well.

I still marvel at Mike Shanahan. wtf, the option?

We will be a playoff teaam this year. We will lose if we meet you in the playoffs. But in three years? Watch out.

In 3 years you may not have John Lynch, Dre Bly, and who knows about Champ. Alot can happen in 3 years.
