Default OT: What's been the dumbest comment since football has been back?

Since college and pro football has been back, I'm sure we've all heard a comment or two that made us stop and say "Huh?"

My vote for dumbest comment so far was on ESPN last Sunday when they were talking about some of the big losses on college football the day before. They brought up the Georgia Tech blowout of Notre Dame and whoever it was said "Probably not what they had in mind when they gave Weis that $33 million contract."

Um, the Irish have about 6 players total on offense with any real experience and a new defense without the recruits for it yet. Notre Dame is supposed to second-guess that decision already?

Two years before winning the national title, UT lost to Oklahoma 65-13.

Again, as young as Notre Dame is, I thought that was a stupid comment.

Madden and Micheals saying Dungy's superbowl win is as important as anything Malcolm X or MLK ever did.

What about ESPN publishing lead story this week on Brady's injured shoulder?

sean payton was refered to being similer to BB in creating match up problems and winning using that in the pregame show.

I'm sorry, did he really say that? You're not serious, are you? I definitely missed that. What an incredibly patronizing and ignorant thing to say. Is he losing his mind?

It was a quote from one of Dungy's daughter's college professors who described it as being that important.

Dumbest thing? The whole f***ing commentary. I'm really bored with Madden....

I thought that they were stating what someone else had said. Either way, without a doubt, the dumbest statement uttered this year. Its a freakin' football game, no one dies, life doesn't change, he will not be remembered 100 years from now.
