Ummmmmm..... no. If I was clean and sober and innocent of any wrongdoing, I would not leave the scene of a an accident. Because that's kinda illegal. This isn't 1969. Everyone has a cell phone these days so you don't need to go anywhere to summon help.

He called the cops and reported the car stolen, guys. Then admitted that he lied when he did that.

Some of your kids must get away with murder. Do you know where they are right now?

Not to mention he was seen in some local nightclub before the incident. Some people need to learn how to put 2 and 2 together.

Too true. Alas, these days $350k would't even put my two kids through my alma mater. (Even back in the day the financial aid office and I were real close buddies.)
