Seems to be pretty rah-rah to me. It dismisses the lack of depth at CB and the health of key personnel (Moss, K. Brady, Seymour). It also sells SD a little short, they are going to be there at the end.

I think he dismisses the lack of CB depth with his comments of the fact that Randall Gay and Troy Brown were once CBs on the field at the time of the SB years,in general he is saying whatever players BB putsthere plays adequately to overcome lack of depth.

Overall I thought the article was good - Not perfect as you point out and with some obvious mistakes, but good compared to some I have read.
As a Patriots fan you have to take the negatives of an article with a grain of salt along with the good parts of the article if you are truly a FOOTBALL fan and not just a whiny homie who defends anything not perceived as positive.
Some of you homers would piss on negative articles even if this team was 1-15.
Learn to adjust to negatives in sports columns,Not everything about the Patriots is perfect or positive and you have to live with this.
The 2007 Patriots will be far from perfect - no team EVER has been perfect and this team does have weaknesses like it or not even though this is a SB caliber-type team on paper at this time and must show on the field to prove its true - Remember, every media source put the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl because they looked unbeatable in the NFC in 2006 - Didn't happen.
I know some of you agree with the positives of the article since you made no mention of this, but bash when something is said not so perfect or right in your views.
In general I am not defending his column but there has been no mention of anything you agreed with - all I hear is the parts that sucked.

YOU DO NOT KNOW D!CK
Gaffney was drafted by the Texans, but signed a contract with the Eagles last offseason, then was waived after a poor preseason, before we signed him mid-season. So, I'm afraid your knowledge of male genitalia is lacking on this point.
