I'm starting to think that Thomas will be PUPed giving Mills a shot to impress early in the season. I didn't think this coming in but from the various reports Thomas seems like the one PUPpy who isn't seen working out hard on other fields.
OFFENSE 24
QB - 3 Brady, Cassell, Testaverde
RB - 3 Maroney, Morris, Faulk
FB/HB - 1 Evans, Mills
C - 2 Koppen, Hochstein
G - 3 Neal, Mankins, Yates
OT - 4 Light, Kazcur, O'Callaghan, Britt
WR - 5 Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Caldwell, Gaffney
TE - 3 Watson, Brady, Thomas, (Rivers, if Thomas is on the PUP)
3+3+2+2+3+4+5+3 = 25

Ah, I didn't see you have Mills listed as a FB. Regardless, I expect Thomas to be PUPed to start the season.
As you noticed, Mills was a late addition, as the 54th roster spot. I will edit and make Mills a TE. After all, in his senior year, he caught for more yards than any TE in the NCAA. I suspect that he is as good as most team's #3 TE.

1. I don't think we carry 11 db's. I can see 2 out of Andrews,Wesley and Mitchell making it. But, not all three. I'm assuming Samuel reports by opening day. I think that roster spot will be filled by either a 6th wr or 4th te.
I think we'll carry 6 wr's. I'd put K. Washington as my 6th wr. Just a hunch. But, I think we trade one of our wr's. Reche Caldwell for a 4th or 5th rounder. I think Gaffney has passed him. Then that spot is taken by Troy Brown until Chad Jackson comes off PUP. Mills could take that spot. But, if 3 te's are healthy. I think he's odd man out.
2. I think we go younger instead of Chad Brown. Either C.Mays or
O.Lua. With P. Woods having a good camp and A.Thomas able to slide outside. I'm more worried about ilb/special teams. That's why I'd go with Mays or Lua. My guess Mays.
I think that Yates injury is a really serious injury and he could wind up on the IR. If it is not a serious injury, then he is the luckiest guy n the world.
Also I can not see Lua making our team or any other team. He is wooden indian slow. It's painful how slow this guy is.
Finally I really like Meriweather at CB as opposed to FS/SS. He looks like he can cover slot recveivers pretty consistently. Plus he's such a physical presence that he can help in the running game if we get him closer to the ball.

Good show. It seems like no matter who the final cuts are or who the final keepers are the roster is very solid. I will post my updated list after the pre-season game.
My comments:
- I don't think Vinnie T is on the opening day roster, opening a spot for a bubble player (Hawkins) (Mays) (Washington)
- we could see someone like Marcellus Rivers or an un-named JAG TE make the roster if Brady is banged up and Thomas isn't ready to go
- if Yates is hurt Elgin may be playing his way onto the team
Here's mine. I love these, but it helps when someone else does most of the leg work.
AUGUST 9 MGTEICH’s 53 MAN ROSTER
OFFENSE 23
QB - 2 Brady, Cassell. (Vinny comes in after 2 a days, stays 3 weeks till the last cut, then waits by the phone)
RB - 4 Maroney, Morris, Faulk, Evans
C - 2 Koppen, Hochstein
G - 2 Neal, Mankins (I think Yates is IRed, if so then we only carry 8 OLmen, but the PS littered with OLman also Hock, Kazcur and Britt can play G)
OT - 4 Light, Kazcur, O'Callaghan, Britt
WR - 6 Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Caldwell, Gaffney, Washington/Childress
TE - 3 Watson, Brady, Mills
We only have 23, but the PS will be heavily load on the offensive side, especially OLmen
SPECIALISTS (3)
P - 1 Miller
K - 1 Gostkowski
LS - 1 Paxton
PUP (3)
Jackson
Brown
Thomas
I've weighted the number heavily to the defensive side of the ball, because I think we can hide the real depth on the PS where the numbers are thin, especially on the OL- Most teams carry 9. Slashes means either or.
