Default Wild and Crazy predictions for the league (NOT SUPER BOWL PICKS)

This thread is mainly on wild and far out predictions on this season both on the Patriots and the entire league and would like to put this in a time capsule and open it up in mid february to see how everyone has done with thier crystal ball predictions....

NO SUPER BOWL OR PLAYOFF TALK - These predictions are based mainly on injuries you see coming to a certain player or stats like sacks and leaders in various catagories like rushing,ROTY ect...

Heres my off the rocker predictions and what I have a gut feeling will transpire this upcoming season....

Ladanian Tomilinson will injure his knee in some game of the 1st half of the season and will be out for an extended time, maybe even on IR.

The Detroit Lions will be in the top 3 highest scoring teams in the NFC and will be focused on a wild card run by mid december.

Randy Moss will be comeback player of the year.

There will be a near deadlock for Rookie Of The Year between Adrian Petersen and Marshawn Lynch but Petersen will get the nod due to the fact he will have been used more often in Minnesota where they have no receivers of any quality compared to Buffalo who have a good looking set of receivers.

Eli Manning comes out from under his brothers shadow and has a year that produces MORE yards and a higher QB percentage than Peyton Manning...Yes I said it,Eli will have a better year than Peyton both in yards and stats, maybe not TD passes though (no I am not drinking or drunk, this is a wild hunch) reason for this is Peyton has a much more balanced team than Eli who other than Jacobs has absolutely noone to replace Tiki,Eli will be pass happy this year and if he is anything near decent in his throws he can do this.

Romeo Crennel is fired as head coach by the 12th week of the season and an interim coach within the team takes over.

Vince Young has the Madden curse placed upon him as he throws an interception and then gets injured trying to tackle the return defender,However the curse is not a season ending injury but a 2 week one.

The team that will stay undefeated longest during the regular season will be the New Orleans Saints that will go to 7-0 before losing

The team that will wait the longest to win a game is the Kansas City Chiefs going 0-5 before winning their first game

Frank Gore will have a 200+ yard game against one of his opposing division teams

Shawn Merrimen will tie the record for most sacks during the regular season (even without the steroids)

Your wild and far out picks??

so who wins the superbowl. jk.

Really going out on a limb with the eli prediction. If he had some momentum at the end of last season, it might be more foreseeable. But it is supposed to be a "wild and crazy" prediction afterall.

- The Jets fall back in the pack of .500 teams facing stronger competition
- Marvin Harrison will have a significant decline in production. He won't be a scrub, but he won't be elite either.
- Wes Welker works his way into the starting line up by midseason.
- League MVP will be Drew Brees
- Merriman will be DPOY
- Denver wins the AFC West
- Miami defense will take a huge step back this year with many of their older players in the front seven starting to lose a step
- The Pats won't have a receiver get over 1,000 yards; but will have three or four who have over 800 yards.
- Pittsburgh makes a rebound and makes the playoffs
- Even with all the high profile acquisitions this year, San Francisco does not get significantly better
- Arizona finally becomes an over .500 team after years of everyone predicting it
- Matt Schaub will have over 3000 yards and 20 TDs
- The AFC South will go from the least competitive to one of the most competitive. The Colts will not be a lock to win the division and may in fact not win it.
