Default 2008 Linebackers: a mix of vets and youth

I would prefer that we add a veteran on the squad in Training Camp, both as injury protection for this year, and to better prepare for next year. However, I think the roster is solid.

We will add to the roster in free agency as needed in 2008, and pick up more youth in the late rounds of the draft. I expect one or two of the youth to be a long-term special teamers, as Izzo and Davis have been for years.

THE RETIRING (their contracts are up)
Izzo, Seau, Bruschi

THE VETS
Vrabel, Colvin and Thomas

THE YOUTH
Alexander, Woods, Mays, Lua, Rogers

V,C,T are a very solid start. Don't completely ignore Rogers as someone to consider in the Youth group for 2008.

I will edit. Rogers could be part of the future.
