What's the problem? That's a pretty good size for a CB.

6' 2" guys with the skills to cover wide receivers usually ARE wide receivers from what I've seen.

Check the average heights of CBs and you'll see that 5' 11" might actually be above average. Nearly every CB winds up giving up height compared to those he covers.

You do realize that many of the best CBs in the league are in the 5'10-6'0 range, yes? Ty Law. Champ Bailey. Deangelo Hall. Dunta Robinson. Antoine Winfield. And all of them run in the 190-200 lbs range.

Not sure what you are complaining about.

whoa whoa settle down guys don't get all tps report memo style on me (office space if you didn't pick up on that). I was commenting on the size partly sarcastically because everyone on these boards complains about size in our DB's. I remember seeing a lot of discussions regarding Hobbs in this area last offseason. I fall on the side that you can be a small guy and play big. Like I said earlier, I'm happy to hear the praise about this guy from Reiss and whoever else, but I'm cautious as he was apart of the spotty ND secondary last year and other things I've heard from huge ND fans.

So what's this I hear about you having problems with your TPS reports? Didn't you get that memo?

The good news is that the Pats know what to do to prepare raw rookie CBs. At this point, it really doesn't matter what he did in college. This guy sounds like he's got the skills, the intelligence, and the drive. Those are the three necessary ingredients at club New England.

I was thinking the same thing. Pack on 10 lbs. of muscle and he's a good size CB.

Ty Law is listed 5'11" 200, but he bulked up more than that, I'm sure.

Default As well as another DB...Baker

I also remember complaining about smurfs on D..(And now with James and Scott..taller physical players..we have both) .I like Richardson and hope he can fit in..really like what I read about being a sponge and absorbing it all..
Another DB who I heard good things about was Baker. (Mostly a ST guy last year brought in midseason or so and injured a bit as well.) The PFW guys at minicamp mentioned on the radio some hard hits he was giving out; like to hear that and with his first camp, he might be a surprise.
What is really good is that there is competition; totally needed to make teh squad solid.

That's great size for a CB. This qualifies as big.

Listen Lundberg I'm going to have to ask you to move along... I have a meeting with the Bob's in a couple of minutes.
