Spann re-signed

In an expected move, the Patriots announced the re-signing of exclusive rights free agent Antwain Spann today.

The 24-year-old Spann, a cornerback, has played in eight career regular-season games and three playoff games, all with the Patriots in 2006.

Spann has primarily been a special teams player and bounced back and forth between the team's practice squad and active roster last season. He was present at the team's passing camp on Thursday, stretching with the team before leaving the field, likely to rehabilitate a physical ailment.

All 8 ERFAs have now been re-signed (Alexander, Britt, Childress, Kight, Mays, Spann, G. Williams, Wright).

All 4 RFAs have also been re-signed (Baker, Gay, Mruczkowski, Yates).

The remaining un-signed UFAs are Brown, Gardner, Mickens, Pass, Testaverde, and Walter.

And who? We expect to sign a free agent named Walter?

I can't think of anyone by that name that we might want to sign, but I could be mistaken.

Walter is P Ken Walter, and we might not want to resign him (or maybe we do for training camp competition), but nontheless he played for us last year and is a UFA.

You should probably put a spolier disclaimer on your post Pujo.
