Default What do you fear most/think is the weak spot of the Patriots O

Obviously this is much more a potent offense this year, but I really fear what will happen if Maroney goes down and it's left up to Faulk and Morris to have a ground game. Don't know enough about Morris, but I think even the combo would not be adequate to run the ball steadily. Other weaknesses??

QB - nope
OL - nope
TE - nope (the only question is whether Watson becomes great or just stays good)
WR - sure we have no clue how it'll work out, but there are so many guys that a couple of them will stick. even if Washington blows and Stallworth gets hurt we'll still have Moss, Welker, and the guys from last year. We don't know exactly how this will sort itself out, but there's little question that it will work out just fine.
RB - Here we are. Can Maroney stay healthy while carrying a full load? Is Faulk getting too old? Can anyone fill in for Maroney when the need arises? Can they get the short yards when they need them? Who the heck is Sammy Morris? With the WRs they have will they even bother running the ball?

RB is definitely the weak spot, but I have a feeling NE will be spreading things out a lot anyway. They've had no issue doing so in the past, and they've had no problem using short passes in place of a running game.

Having little, if anything, to do with Maroney's issue last year, I also worry about RB depth, in the same way that I'd worry if Brady went down (but not as worried, that would be disaster). If Maroney gets hurt it's a big drop-off.

Not to worried about RB, if the Pats can win a SB w/ A. Smith I'm sure they could win one with a Combo of Faulk and Morris (assuming Maroney goes down).

Inconsistent O-Line performance.

The most underrated problem on our team.

Belichick is aware of this, judging by the draft. More fodder for Dante.

The biggest problem is uncertainty. New blocking scheme just for Maroney, 20-30 new receivers.

The OLine will actually be a strength once we settle into what we want to do with the skill positions.

With things in flux, the OLine will look bad, but it's a result of confusion elsewhere, not the cause.

RB seems like weakest. Besides Maroney there is no proven full-time back to take his place. Maroney already seems injury prone so like others said it would have to be a combo of Faulk and Morris or we could just run 5 WR sets all day
