With our plethora of newly stocked receiving core what are the possibilities of #12 throwing 50 TDs this season to top Laser-rocket-arm commercial-boy? Now before you start to think I am driving the Homer bus out of Foxboro, In all realm of possibility?
Here is Satan Manning's 2004 TD week breakdown:
1 @ New England Patriots.....2TDs
2 @ Tennessee Titans.........2TDs
3 Green Bay Packers.......5TDs
4 @ Jacksonville Jaguars......2TDs
5 Oakland Raiders............3TDs
6 Jacksonville Jaguars......3TDs
7 @ Kansas City Chiefs.......5TDs
8 Minnesota Vikings........4TDs
9 Houston Texans..........5TDs
10 @ Chicago Bears............4TDs
11 @ Detroit Lions..............6TDs
12 Tennessee Titans........3TDs
13 @ Houston Texans.........2TDs
14 Baltimore Ravens.........1TDs
15 San Diego Chargers.....2TDs
16 Denver Broncos..........0TDs
The TDs in bold, notice the teams....junk secondary's...
* Harrison, Wayne, and Stokely each had 10 TD catches that year...another "gag" record...Plus Manning just avg 3.0625 TDs a Game. 5 games of 2 TDS, 1 game of 1TD and the last was an egg against the donkeys, you might say hey, he threw six on thanksgiving day, but against the Lions come on?....plus the 3 - 5TD and 2 - 4TD games avg out with the 7 low ones.
So who's not to say that Moss, Stallworth, and Welker (or Insert list here of WRs) will not accomplish the same feat?
......and hold on to your hats but dare I add Marino's record of 5,084 yards in a season? that might be a bit much to hope for, but It would be cool to see 2 records go down in one season, this of course can only happen if the majority of the offensive line, Brady, and receiving core stay healthy threw out the season. JMO
Your thoughts....
PD.

were not the Colts..we wont try to run up the score. your saying were gonna pass 6 TDs against Lions? Why..unless they can keep us with us i doubt we keep passing and passing
(a team like the Lions)
Colts needed to pass to stay in some games because their D blew..we wont need that
Whoa, whoa. I think we need to reign all the record breaking talk back in a bit. It's nice to think about, but I don't think he'll get too close to 50 td's. First of all, we have quite a tough schedule this year. IN fact, it's the third toughest?? Somewhere close to that at least.
Second of all, I imagine if we get up big on teams that (hopefully at least), we will have learned from the championship game last year and make use of the ground game a bit. I certainly hope at least that McDaniel has learned 3 passes and punt with a big lead does not guarantee a victory.
Finally, (keeping fingers crossed) injuries can occur (and with us usually do), and I wouldn't be surprised to see one of our main playmakers on offense miss at least a little time this year.

Hey, I just put it up for discussion, I to think it will be hard, but If you break it down to 3 TDs a game, maybe some 2, maybe some 4 it can happen. just discusion not visions of grandier....

on paper yes, but really beside SAN Diego Fiss-lers, the Dolts, and in miami, which other games look so tough to you? Dallas? - new coach
Pittsburg? - our house, Bagles? you really think McSoup will be healthy in week 12? Ben-gals? won't the majority of them be in jail?
I understand very well where you are coming from....Just putting out there for disscusion.

Um, did you read the message, only just over 3TDs a game...that is not getting up big on anyone--- think about it this way, say 1 TD pass in the first Quarter, maybe 2 in the third...that doesn't sound unreasonable does it?
